Research and publications.
Many people who live with cognitive decline or dementia notice changes in their ability to speak and communicate. However, they currently do not receive timely and appropriate support to address the issues they experience.
My current research addresses this gap in services delivery. The aim is to help people living with dementia and their families to get faster access to communication support services.
I am also involved in Dementia research focusing on the evaluation of multidisciplinary rehabilitation, reablement and education programs.
I was part of a global project of the World Health Organisation (WHO), developing best practice guidelines for the non-pharmacological treatment of dementia.
